Healthy baking

Courgette and chocolate muffins

Chocolate courgette cake is a moist and delicious cake made with grated courgettes (zucchini) and cocoa powder. It’s a great way to incorporate vegetables into a sweet treat, while also adding moisture and nutrients to the cake. The cake typically involves mixing together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and sugar, and then adding eggs, oil, grated courgettes, and vanilla extract. The batter is then poured into a cake pan and baked until a toothpick inserted in the centre comes out clean. The result is a rich and chocolaty cake that’s perfect for dessert, snack time, or even breakfast.

This cooking class is really adapted to young children. It’s easy for them to follow the recipe and very enjoyable.

Vegan chocolate muffins

A vegan cake is a type of cake that is free from any animal products, including dairy, eggs, and honey. Instead, it is made using plant-based ingredients such as non-dairy milk, vegetable oil or vegan butter, and substitutes for eggs like flax eggs, applesauce, or mashed bananas. Vegan cakes can come in a variety of flavors and can be decorated with vegan frosting made from vegan butter, powdered sugar, and plant-based milk. These cakes are popular among people following a vegan diet, those with dairy or egg allergies, or people looking to reduce their consumption of animal products.

Gluten free cakes

A gluten-free cake is a type of cake that is made without any gluten-containing ingredients. Gluten is a protein found in wheat, barley, and rye, which gives baked goods their elasticity and structure. Instead, gluten-free cakes are made with alternative flours and starches such as rice flour, almond flour, coconut flour, or potato starch. These flours and starches are combined with other ingredients such as eggs, dairy or non-dairy milk, oil, and sugar to create a cake batter. Gluten-free cakes are suitable for people with celiac disease, gluten sensitivity, or wheat allergies who need to avoid gluten-containing foods. They can come in a variety of flavors and can be decorated with gluten-free frosting made from ingredients such as powdered sugar, non-dairy butter, and vanilla extract.

My girl loves cooking with Florence which is amazing as before taking classes with her, she had no interest in it. It’s easy to see why as she creates such a fun and friendly environment and the food they make is really tasty!
